WELCOME, FELLOW CELL ENTHUSIAST
My interests include absolute references, freeze panes and asking “have you checked the hidden rows?”
Bob from Accounts sent me this. He says it is the last open reconciliation. It has been the last open reconciliation for several months.
Microsoft Excel — RECON_FINAL_FINAL2.xls
| # | A | B |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Description | Amount / date |
| 2 | Ledger | 1,000.01 |
| 3 | Statement | 1,000.00 |
| 4 | Rounding entry | -0.01 (unposted) |
| 5 | Open difference | 0.01 |
| 6 | Prepared on | ######## |
The date is too large for the column. This is apparently an accounting issue.
Ready. No macros, files or actual ledgers will be changed.
DAVE’S TIP OF THE DAY
Making a variance white on a white background is not the same as resolving it.
Neither is calling the workbook “final”.
